Very soon I’m gonna be painting on canvas in the studio of SvS. It’s gonna be messy and big. Now I need something to paint, since I don’t like to go abstract. I’m gonna use one or more of these pictures. But I’m not sure how.
I want to use the term God of Fun. I just checked if there was a god of fun in acient Greece. There was one called Baubo, which supposedly was a Goddess and because women are not funny (name one female comedian?). It again proofs the Greek made up Gods for what they didn’t understand.
Allmighty google tells me Baubo played a pivotal role in the myth of Demeter. Who was depressed, in an attempt to be funny Baubo lifted her skirt. Demeter responded with a hearty belly laugh. Some translate baubo as belly, because of it. What was under her skirt is not known, although there is one sculpture with a face on a belly with the vulva being the chin. Other figurines show Baubo exposing an exaggerated vulva between her legs.
Pretty funny, huh. Just to let you know, spread the word.
