My internet research for all things Hunter S. Thompson related is never ending. Above a photo of some guy fishing with Hunter (with guns of course).
After watching Fear and Loathing a couple of times, because my cable was down, I started letting all the strange visuals be and started listening to the dialogue. It was absurd, intelligent and strange.
I started looking for things Hunter-related and found documentaries, interviews and books. He never lets me down, not in any of above mentioned outings. He never showed anything other than Hunter. With everybody: with his bosses, waitresses, presidents (Nixon) and celebrities. He always was his crazy self.
I started reading a story from ‘Kingdom of Fear’ in the bus the other day. The story about ‘Geerlings and the war-ministers son’ wants me to see a documentary about Geerlings. Who was he:
’ Geerlings was a Dutchman about thirty-three years old, built like some monster on Muscle Beach but whitout steroids —beyond an athlete, a dangerous brute with the temper of a wolverine, a handsome guy. His cheap shirts were always bulging, like his brain. He was the inventor of a radical coloring process for glass walls the size of swimming pools. He fled Holland on a murder warrant —he’d killed Nazis with a Colt .45 that he stole from a dead American; he had grown up in Holland during the Second World War, and his hatred for the Germans was immense. He would go out at night looking ofr Krauts to beat up. “
Where is Geerlings?
